Attending an auction can be an exciting and memorable experience. For many people it is a social event with the opportunity to acquire a vast range of items at a reasonable cost.
Our auctions are advertised in the Mercury on Thursdays and Saturdays under Auction Notices. Official viewing times are listed with the details of items to be offered. Photos & a catalogue are available from our website.
If you are unsure about the value of something ask one of our staff for an estimate. We are also happy to tell you any history or background we know about the item.
Be sure to inspect items thoroughly. There are no guarantees at auction so be sure of what you are buying.
A Buyers Premium of 16.5% (incl GST) applies to all purchases therefore 16.5% must be added to the hammer price and paid to the Auctioneer.
Some items attract GST also on the hammer price. These items will be announced by the Auctioneer.
We accept cash, cheques and most credit cards (1.25% Credit Card Fee). Payment must be made by 5pm Monday.
We can arrange transport locally or interstate.
Absentee Bidding & Phone Bidding
We can bid on your behalf if you cannot attend. Under this system a form is provided. We endeavour to obtain the item as cheaply as possible for you. (The price you pay is often less than the bid you leave.) We allow bidders to bid by phone on antique items over $1000.
